The Break-Up

From this time, unchained
We're all looking at a different picture through this new frame of mind
A thousand flowers could bloom
Move over and give us some room.

So don't you stop being a man.
Just take a little look from outside when you can
Show a little tenderness, no matter if you feel the need to cry

I learned my lesson, nobody is to blame except..well..maybe you
I learned my lesson, we're all trying to hide
Doing the best we can in order to survive
But some of us like to keep it simple
And then there are some of us that will deceive

We will tell half a story, so we can take the things we need
Some of our efforts are colorful
There are those that win and the others lose

A Lone Warriors Final Moments Before Love

He did everything right on their date. They conversed as if two poets were battling for the championship title. Every word carefully spoken, deep with substance and emotion that intertwined and danced in slow motion suspended in the cool night air. Silence became comfortable as they held each other in a warm embrace listening to each other's heartbeat beat in sync.  It was at that moment in his arms she completely let go.

He looked into her eyes and saw the look of a tired and wounded warrior who spent a lifetime in battle surrendering in his embrace. The scars she bared spoke vividly of her victories and defeats. He felt the abundance of will, strength and purpose she had with each breath she took and was in awe of her.

The lone warrior's shield crashed to the ground. She embraced the weight she had once held in comfort relieve her body and allowed her spirit to be free. Her feet were suspended in air as reason to fight finally fell to a deafening silence. She raised the white flag for there was no more strength left in her to fight. She needed to rest and have trust in knowing that even though he has the ability to destroy her, he would never do as such. She slowly closed her eyes and just trusted.

He stared at her until his vision was blurred with tears as he understood what he was meant to do and pulled her in close to him. He held on to her as tight as he could as if he was trying to squeeze all the pain that she had endured and whispered in her ear "It's ok. I'm here. I will protect you. I will take care of you. I will love you."

As the sun submerged completely into the ocean, it flashed its' final light on two warriors weeping in each others arms experiencing the final moment of two lone warriors letting down their guards.

Rise above the negation of yesterday - A Simple Affirmation

I know that every negative condition of the past is swept aside. I refuse to see it or to think about it.

Yesterday is no longer here, tomorrow has not yet arrived. Today, is God's day. God's day is my day!

Today, bright with hope and filled with promise is mine. Today my heart is without fear.

I have implicit confidence in the good, the enduring and the true. Today I shall guard my thought and speech; I will keep consciousness steadfast with the relation that there is a spiritual power upon which I may rely.

There is no confusion to that spiritual center which knows no fear! My spirit is not afraid of anything!  The divine has no enemies. My spirit knows no opposites!

I enter into a faith made perfect through love and confidence, an assurance made complete by the abandonment of myself to good.  Acknowledging good in all the ways , desiring only the good for others I rest in calm assurance.

I believe in myself because I believe in God! I believe in my destiny because I know that the law of God is operating through me.

I have confidence in the future and enthusiastic expectations of good things to come.

Live. Laugh. Love always.

The Only Enemy To Have Ever Existed Is An Eternal One - Part II

The ego is the worst confidence trickster we could ever figure, we could ever imagine. Because you don’t see it…” - Dr. Yoav Dattilo, Ph.D.

The problem, is that the ego hides in the last place you’d ever look, within itself.           - Dr. Peter Fonagy, Ph.D., FBA

It disguises it’s thoughts as your thoughts, it’s feelings with your feelings, you think it’s you.  - Leonard Jacobson

People’s need to protect their own ego knows no bounds, they will lie, cheat, steal, kill, do whatever it takes to maintain what we call, ego boundaries. - Andrew Samuels, Ph.D.

People have no clue that they’re in prison, they don’t know that there is an ego, they don’t know the distinction. - Leonard Jacobson

At first it’s difficult for the mind to accept that there’s something beyond itself, that there’s something of greater value and of greater capacity for discerning truth than itself. - Dr. David Hawkins M.D., Ph.D.

In creating this imaginary external enemy we usually made a real enemy for ourselves and that becomes a real danger to the ego but it’s also the ego’s creation. - Dr. Peter Fonagy, Ph.D., FBA

There is no such thing as an external enemy, no matter what that voice in your head is telling you. All perception of an enemy is a projection of the ego as the enemy.             - Dr. Deepak Chopra M.D.

In that sense, you can say that 100% of our external enemies are of our own creation. - Dr. Peter Fonagy, Ph.D., FBA

Your greatest enemy is your own inner perception, your own ignorance, is your own ego.  - Dr. Obadiah S. Harris, Ph.D.

The Only Enemy To Have Ever Existed Is An Eternal One. - Part I

There is something about yourself that you don’t know. Something that you will deny even exists until it’s too late to do anything about it. It’s the only reason you get up in the morning. The only reason you suffer to the hands of that shitty boss or unhealthy relationship. All though blood, sweat, and the tears. This is because you want people to know how good, attractive, generous, funny, wild, and clever you really are. Fear or revere me, but please think I’m special.

We share an addiction. We’re approval junkies. We’re all in it for the slap on the back, record breaking numbers of views, likes and retweets. Look at the King/Queen polishing his/her trophy! Shine on, you crazy diamond, because we’re just monkeys wrapped in suits, begging for the approval of others. If we knew this, we wouldn’t do this. Someone is hiding it from us, and if you had a second chance you would ask, why?”

Envy is the religion of the mediocre. It comforts most of us, it soothes our worries, and finally it rots our very souls, allowing us to justify the meanness and our greed until we believe these to be virtues.

Such people are convinced that the doors of heaven will be opened only to poor wretches like themselves who go through life without leaving any trace but their threadbare attempts to belittle others and to exclude - and destroy if possible - those who, by the simple fact of their existence, show up their own poorness of spirit, mind, and guts. Blessed be the one at whom the fools bark, because his soul will never belong to them.

Nice and slowly, beauty is a destructive angel. How could anything that looks so good be so bad? But there is no angel as destructive as their greed. In the end, she gets them all. They think they can handle her… but greed is the only snake that cannot be tamed.
Greed gets them all in the end.

CLOSE YOUR EYES AND COUNT TO THREE

Close your eyes and lose the feeling that's been sinking

Larger than life, niceties
Bigger than you, more than me
I've got the Monday morning blues
And oh my God I've got the home for you

And give the everyday morning you...use
There's things right here I can't afford to choose

Close your eyes and lose the feeling that's been sinking
Close your eyes and count to three

Sincere, caramel, champagne, down drain, tell him, no gain
It's so damn physical it will sustain
And too damn Technicolor to refrain
And much too taxing for my little brain

Why do we never know enough of happiness?
Why do they never show?
All the times we have been so good and caring
How many times we'll never know

Close your eyes and lose the feeling that's been sinking
Close your eyes and count to three
Close your eyes rewind, I know just what you're thinking

Packed it like a punch out to lunch
I got a little hunch that stood out from the bunch
As if that's not a reason enough I need another reason why

God damn that bitch of life she made me cry
So I liked to poke her squarely in the eye
And it hurt so much I feel like I could die

An Angel's Wish To You

Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes
Rainbows to follow the clouds when feeling gloom.
Plenty of laughter to kiss your lips.  Sunsets to warm your heart to a loving bliss.
I wish you an abundance of beauty for your eyes to see.  A friendship to be there to brighten your being.
I wish you Faith so that you will forever believe, Confidence whenever you are in doubt, Courage when weak and Patience when being deceived.
Most of all, I wish you love & happiness in every moment of your life.
